Awesome, I'll make sure to try this out aswell.
I'll link the result.

Alright, the filesize is pretty damn small, so that's cool.
Also I'm uploading the Testvid now + The testvid that I rendered with Sony Vegas (HD). I'll post them when they're done. :]

Edit: Results

Uploaded without further editing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSqvbLSzZak

Re: HQ Recording in Ulead VideoStudio

I never noticed this until I started recording frequently off Ulead, but when I go to configure and I set it to 100% quality, modify the rest of the settings, then click "ok," it exits like it should. And yet if I were to open the configure back up again, it's back at 80%.

I'm afraid that I could be getting higher quality out of it and am not able. I don't really understand what would cause it to continually reset.

Any additional help and ideas would be appreciated. I have already tried modifying advanced settings that I had changed to play with the resulting image a bit, and nothing seemed to work.

@ Benzor: I took a look at both your videos, it seems after rendering in HD, you lost some of your video smoothenss. Did you use Sony Vegas to render it? or Ulead?

Read his video title :P

(It's Ulead by the way lol)

Also, to anyone who happens to glance down here, do not deinterlace. It decreases the video's quality.

Also, do NOT use Ulead to render out your project. Use Sony Vegas or another professional video editing software.

The horizontal lines left by not deinterlacing can be taken care of via other methods. If you end up using Vegas or other software for rendering, there is usually a way to deinterlace there.

As for rendering, the Ulead-recorded videos are fine just to put up for HQ on youtube if that's all you want to do. If you're looking for the best quality and/or wish to do something a little more intricate with your footage, follow lacy's advice and find an upscale piece of editing software.

yes, but most people are going to want to edit their videos before uploading to youtube or another site. Uleads video editing software is basic; I would compare it to windows movie maker. If you're fine with that, go ahead and use Ulead. But I strongly suggest using another program, such as Sony Vegas

Sorry if you mis-understood me, as that was what I was trying to say: use something else for editing.

I think I worded it poorly, my apologies.

Be sure to check your video and Audio Settings using the Video Config Tool (found in the Programs folder of the CD)

Check the audio inputs too, you might have the wrong device selected.
Find me on Youtube.com. I try to post game recordings as often as I can.
